It's all about Balance

The Team made it to Talladega, this time without the wicked Chicken Dip poisoning (thank you Floyd). First things first...we are not just pretty faces. Here is Kitty all decked out and ready to jump onto pit road to sacrifice her body so that the #X car can get its 22 gallons of fuel. Or, she's ready for her first drink of the day...hard to say.

Talladega is an interesting track. They have a landing strip that all the RV's line up on and its a lot like Mardi Gras. If you don't get hit in the head with beads, it might be time to throw in the towel and become a nun. Also, if you don't see boobies, it might be time for you to go to bed because you just can't see anymore. It's one of the craziest scenes and I wish I had a picture of the girl that used a piece of caution tape to cover her little hills, though only momentarily.

The best way to travel around the infield is via Waaaagon. Grab a cooler and straddle it and you will be wheeled around until your heart's content. I don't suggest standing up on the waaagon, though, as it is easy to tumble off of and then your leg will look like someone took a baseball bat to it. Of course, falling off the waaagon is not nearly as bad as doing a face plant on rather flat terrain, but missing the step up after being told to step up. Floyd will remember this moment fondly, as she screamed from the ground, "I'm not okay! I'm not okay!" and then, in a blood curdling kind of way..."get me out of the traffic!" which in reality was one golf cart 100 yards away.

We had two novelties this trip - magic cherries and jello shots. Both were a huge hit and enjoyed by many. The "shot" is a mainstay on Talladega Boulevard. There's the jello shot, the cherry shot, the beer shot, the lemon drop shot, the Dr. Pepper Shot, the kamakazee shot, the I've had too many shots and will probably die now shot, and then there is the staple of Talladega Bouldevard...The Snake Pit Shot.

Here is the Snake of the Snake Pit, surrounded by the Team before we endulged in the tastiest of all the Boulevard shots. What it tastes like, I can't tell you now, but at the time it was damn good. Me thinks Skippy here has endulged in one to many snake bite shots, but who are we to judge? Free shots are appreciated by many, feared by none.

Bravo to all participants for making it through another 'Dega, though not necessarily upright, which in some cases, I guess was not a bad thing. See ya in Atlanta!
