Da Britches Are Cold

Atlanta in the Fall is Cold. This may be a little over the top, but to a South Florida girl, it was cold. Luckily, the weather was all that was cold. Fatbaby's Mama graced us with her presence at the track (per usual for the Fall). She was quite the party girl and lacking in any type of fatbaby withdrawal (okay, perhaps a bit of a stretch). Despite the lackluster fan involvement in the infield festivities, these racefans (armed with the waaaagon and a new driver, see right) endeavored on to find the Perfect Party. No, we did not find the Perfect Party (some say its in Cowboy's pants, but I'm not going there), but we did find some nice folks with a fire pit (read...WARM). The 96 Rock Party apparently went defunct, probably because Grandma the Funneler kicked the bucket. But who's to say. We did encounter the infamous Snake Pit (see Talladega post) and it was like coming home. There's nothing like a nice warm snake pit shot to warm up the 'ol blood.

This here is a nice photo of some race participants...don't they look happy? To me, it looks like FBM (fat baby's mama) is about to break out into a sprint, away from the photo...so kudos to her for sticking it out. We sorely missed our neighbors, Dave and Mike, and await for their excuse for missing race weekend. Shout out to Carl Edwards for sweeping Atlanta 2005....if only we could get him to flip off Endura (that may stop him from getting his first Cup...just kidding). We're off to Homestead now...Championshit Weekend.
